###### A Second Chance Romance

**Rule #1: Don't get used to happiness—it never lasts.**
**Rule #2: Definitely don't let your guard down right when everything feels perfect.**

After a year of long-distance and occasional weekends together, Donovan Cain is finally home for good. No more life on the road. Just Nova, a new business venture, and the future they've both been waiting for.

Then, without warning, one of the most important people in Donovan’s life is gone. Grief turns him into someone Nova barely recognises—someone who says things he can't take back and blames her for things that weren't her fault.

Heartbroken and grieving, Nova McKay doesn't have the luxury of falling apart. Not when a parent at her school decides she's an easy target for his anger and makes sure she knows it.

She's dealt with difficult parents before, but she's never been afraid of one until now.

With Donovan an ocean away and unaware of the danger closing in, Nova is left to face it alone and to decide whether the man who ran from his grief is still the man she can rely on.
